Why are so many of us afraid of change?

The older I get, the more I realize that it's change and growth that keeps us viable and vital in our professions. This is especially true of education today; technology is exploding yet many schools attempt to teach the same as 10 or 20 years ago. We need to catch up with the times for if we don't, what chance do our students have?

There's a very powerful YouTube video that highlights the importance of change. The video, Did You Know?, originated in 2006 as a PowerPoint presentation for a faculty meeting in Arapahoe High School in Denver, CO. The presentation quickly went viral and has been seen by over 20 million people. It's updated annually and carries a very powerful message. To view the video, please click on the link below.
